This province in close proximity of the International Border of Indo-China is dream destination for eco-trekkers and rafting aficionados. The International Rafting point starts from here (the origination base of mighty Siang) and ends at the biggest river the Brahmaputra in Assam.

The fragrances of the wild orchids in blossoming season, the curative plants, the medicinal herbs,  the howling of the monkeys in the morning hours, the ballet of the butterflies, the throng of colorful birds, the barking of the deer, the herd of the wild elephants across the woods, the roar of the tigers are the hallmark of this isolated terrain. The headwaters of mighty Siang originate on these remotest hills. The crystal clear water, the ruthless currents, the ferocious whirlpools, the strong waves metamorphoses it into a Rafting Paradise. The hillbilly ferocious features and soft hearts show off traditional Galuk and indigenous swords. The beautiful belles with captivating smiles flaunt the gracious gale glorifying the ancient ambience of culture and heritage.

Words cannot explain the beauty of this concealed terrain. The dangling long cane bridges across the turbulent River Siang are the master pieces of Ethnic Engineering worth a glimpse. Walking on the swiveling rope dares the courage to perish mutating a new form of extreme adventure.

UPPER Siang at the height of 500 m covering an area of 6’188 Sq. Km with a population of 33’146 is surrounded by China on the North, East Siang district on the South and West Siang district on the West. It consists mainly of hilly terrains with narrow serpent roadways. This shrouded terrain in the lap of immaculate valley is far away from the maddening crowd of the polluted world. The rocky terrains and verdure woods confers it as an ideal place for trekking and hiking.
